Pablo Chang-Castillo, President and CEO

Pablo Chang-Castillo is a co-owner of Chang-Castillo and Associates, LLC, and is originally from Nicaragua. He grew up between Central America and the United States. Mr. Chang-Castillo holds a Master of Arts in Conference Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, a Master of Arts in Bilingual Legal Interpretation from the University of Charleston; and a Master of Arts in Translation from MIIS. Mr. Chang-Castillo is a Federally Certified Court Interpreter (FCCI) and is certified in both California and Washington. Mr. Chang-Castillo is an active member of AIIC, the International Association of Conference Interpreters, and TAALS, the American Association of Language Specialists with an English (A), Spanish (A), French (B), and Brazilian Portuguese (C) language combination. His clients include the American and Canadian Governments, the United Nations family of organizations, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fortune 500 companies, pharmaceutical companies and private sector entities and international corporations. He focuses on providing seamless solutions to customers.

Julien Brasseur, Chief Operations Officer

Originally from France, Julien Brasseur is a translator and conference interpreter with a French, English and Spanish language combination. A co-owner of Chang-Castillo and Associates, Julien holds a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS), along with a degree in Translation (French, English and German) from ISIT (Institut Supérieur d’Interprétation et de Traduction) in Paris, France. He is a member of AIIC (International Association of Conference Interpreters), and TAALS (The American Association of Language Specialists). He is also a Registered French Court Interpreter in the State of California and an approved translator by the Consulate General of France in San Francisco. His clients include the U.S. and French Governments, the United Nations family of organizations, television networks, Fortune 500 companies and various other private entities and multinational corporations.

Executive Team

Karen Poli, Executive Business Manager

Karen Poli is a key member of the CCA team and manages the company’s financial operations. Her approach to increasing financial and operational efficiencies is results-oriented, a clearly focused strategic thinking process that takes into consideration both contingencies and global strategies. Karen has amassed a 28 year career, successfully contributing to and managing companies’ financial resources and outcomes. Her professional background is extensive and includes hands-on financial, human resources, and operations experience in small business.

Juan S., Project Manager

Originally from the coastal paradise of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, Juan graduated in 2020 with a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Nacional Politécnica (UNP) and immediately joined the CCA Team as a Project Assistant and Executive Assistant to the CEO. Juan’s exceptional performance and commitment were quickly recognized and within the same year, he was promoted to Project Coordinator, where he honed his skills in managing projects. In 2022, he transitioned to the role of Junior Project Manager, further developing his expertise in team leadership, risk mitigation, and project delivery. He became a Project Manager in January 2024.

Juan is a passionate advocate for client satisfaction. He leads projects with a focus on exceeding expectations and delivering platinum standard service. His dedication aligns perfectly with CCA’s mission as a leading language services company. Beyond the professional realm, Juan’s passions extend to languages and diverse cultures, further enriching his understanding of the global landscape where CCA operates. He is a lifelong learner with a love for exploring new horizons, particularly enjoying travel to beachside and mountainous destinations. Juan’s continuing journey at CCA reflects his unwavering commitment to personal and professional development. His desire to learn and grow mirrors CCA’s commitment to excellence, making him a valuable asset to our team.

Ismael L., Project Manager

Ismael possesses a solid academic foundation with a degree in Public Accounting and Finance from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua (UNAN-Managua). He joined CCA in 2020 as a Project Assistant, where he immersed himself in cross-cultural communication and project management. He was promoted to Project Coordinator the following year, then to Junior Project Manager in 2022. Since 2024 he thrives as a Project Manager, taking clients’ needs to success, and creating the most precise logistical and operational plans.

Ismael’s path reflects personal and professional growth, highlighting his desire to explore and connect, pivotal to his success at CCA. Ismael relishes his ongoing journey, filled with opportunities for worldwide impact. CCA’s dynamic environment is complemented by his passion for travel, cultures, and languages to bridge gaps and foster global connections.

W. Emilio H., Project Coordinator

Born in the capital city of Nicaragua, Managua, Emilio graduated in 2019 as a Public Accountant from the Universidad Nacional Politecnica (UNP). He began his journey at CCA as a Project Assistant in 2022, steadily advancing to the role of Project Coordinator in December 2023, a testament to his exceptional performance, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the company.

Emilio’s passion and enthusiasm for the interpretation and translation world continue to drive him. He finds immense satisfaction in immersing himself in the diverse cultures and languages that define this global field. His dedication and love for his work are evident in his continued pursuit of excellence and his motivation to grow in his personal and professional career at CCA.
